NRA BASIC PISTOL SHOOTING COURSE

Learn the fundamentals of shooting a pistol, including basic firearm safety, gun safety rules, proper operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, ammunition knowledge and selection, pistol selection and storage, shooting fundamentals, pistol inspection and maintenance, marksmanship, and shooting range safety.

This class covers a comprehensive range of topics, including:
1. Gun Safety Rules: Emphasizing the fundamental principles of firearm safety.
2. Proper Operation of Revolvers and Semi-automatic Pistols: Teaching students how to safely and effectively handle these firearm types.
3. Ammunition Knowledge and Selection: Educating students on different types of ammunition and how to choose the right one for their needs.
4. Pistol Selection and Storage: Providing guidance on selecting an appropriate pistol and storing it securely.
5. Shooting Fundamentals: Instructing students on the fundamental techniques of accurate and safe shooting.
6. Pistol Inspection and Maintenance: Teaching how to properly inspect, clean, and maintain firearms.
7. Marksmanship: Enhancing shooting skills and accuracy through expert guidance.
8. Shooting Range Safety: Ensuring students understand and practice safe conduct at shooting ranges.

In addition to classroom instruction, students will also undergo live fire training and complete a nationally standardized shooting qualification under the supervision of an NRA Certified Instructor. Each student will receive the NRA Guide: Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, participate in a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination, and receive a course completion certificate bearing the signatures of the NRA Secretary and their NRA Certified Instructor. This certificate may be used to obtain your concealed permit in the State of Florida.
